Шимон Хают (Shimon Hayut), который выдавал себя за Саймона Левиева (Simon Leviev) в приложении знакомств Tinder, удалил свою страницу в Instagram после выхода разоблачающего его деятельность документального фильма Tinder Swindler («Аферист из Tinder») на платформе Netflix. Картина повествует о том, как мужчина общался с женщинами из разных стран и обманным путем сумел получить от них около 10 миллионов долларов (760 миллионов рублей). Однако уже через пять месяцев он вышел на свободу за хорошее поведение, стал бизнес-консультантом и продолжил вести Instagram, на который подписались более 200 тысяч человек.
Во время судебного процесса он утверждал, что был "мошенником", но не убийцей, а жертвой мошенников.

Who are Simon Leviev’s victims?
Three of his victims bravely shared their stories for the almost two-hour film after they were unfortunate enough to swipe right on Leviev on Tinder.
He then conned them out of hundreds of thousands of pounds. He claimed to be the “prince of diamonds” and a billionaire heir to the fortune of an Israeli magnate – but he turned out to be anything but.
Leviev convinced his dates to fork out for everything from flights to making international bank transfers and always promised to pay them back.
But if they were given something in return, it was dodgy cheques which would bounce or fake designer watches that were almost worthless. He was finally caught out, though for unrelated crimes, and was thrown behind bars for 15 months.
However, following good behaviour, he was freed after just five. His victims who have spoken publicly include:

- Pernilla Sjöholm
- Ayleen Charlotte
- Ayleen helped police to track the conman down after he was accused of fraud.

Today, The Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev has confirmed his original Instagram account is back up and running. He’s posted some new photos to the account, and a video explaining that it is now his only social media profile.
Shortly after The Tinder Swindler was released on Netflix, Simon Leviev said his Instagram account had been hacked. The account he had been using previously is featured heavily in the Netflix documentary about him, and had gained over 200k followers since its release. But now, @simon_leviev_official is back live, and he has been posting updates.
In an Instagram story post, Simon Leviev posted to say he had his account back, and any other profiles claiming to be his are fake. He confirmed Instagram is the only social media he owns, and the TikTok which has gone viral claiming to be him isn’t his.
He’s also been posting some new photos, too. In a photo of him getting out a car, Simon set the caption as: “The past few days was not easy for me. Thank you all for your love and support. I will keep fighting as I always did.” He has limited comments on his posts.
Right now, Simon Leviev has 231k followers and is following nobody. His account is followed by his new girlfriend, Kate Konlin, and she has been liking his new posts. His account has now also been updated to have an email address for a new manager in his bio.
To recap the saga, over the first weekend after Netflix released the film about him, Simon Leviev posted a video on an Instagram story of a new account which claimed the original profile had been hacked and he had now started a new one. He said the new profile was the only account which now belongs to and is run by him. That one was quickly taken down, too. It’s not yet clear why this second account was removed, but it doesn’t look like it was too much lost, as he’s back with access to the original.

Who is Simon Leviev’s current girlfriend?
Leviev is understood to be dating an Israeli model. Rumours suggest her name is Polina, but there are no photos of her on his Instagram.
It is also not known how long they have been a couple, or how soon they got together after he was released from prison in 2020.
She could well be keeping a low profile following the release of Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler, which uncovers her boyfriend’s scheme.

The Tinder Swindler Is Still Active On Instagram And Replying To Fans
The serial conman, who’s real name is Shimon Hayut, features in Netflix’s new true crime documentary that dropped yesterday (2 February).
The doc tells the incredible story of the women who were conned by the pretend playboy who ended up scamming them and taking millions of pounds from them.
He has spent years travelling around the world on the run from the authorities, having been a fugitive of Israel since 2011, and is wanted for a series of crimes, including forgery and theft.
@simon_leviev_official, appears to still be active and now, there are reports he is still replying to fans. The Netflix show suggests it does still belong to Hayut and he uses it to splash his cash.
As reported by The Tab, he has already gained 25,000 followers since the show came out and now boasts a grand total of 137,000 Instagram followers. Right now, the account keeps switching from private to public and it only follows one account.
The account is full of photos flexing his lavish lifestyle – from private jets to designer clothes and expensive cars with more recent pictures being swamped with comments.
Shortly before it went back to private, comments became limited and those about the documentary were reportedly removed.

Tinder Swindler Simon Leviev Returns To Instagram With Message For Followers
Simon Leviev has made a grand return to Instagram and shared a message with his followers. You can watch it here:
The conman, who was the focus of a new Netflix documentary Tinder Swindler, made a comeback with an Instagram story where he wished viewers a 'Happy Valentines's Day'.
He then went on to say: "I want to clarify a few things. I don't have any social media accounts but this one. No Tinder, no Instagram, no Facebook, no TikTok - nothing.
"Only this one... anything else, it's fake."
Well there's that cleared up.
As well as the message on his story, he also shared a picture of himself sitting in the doorway of what looks like a flash car.
With comments from people set to limited, Leviev - whose real name is actually Shimon Hayut - captioned the post telling people he's been having a tough time.
He told his 258,000 followers: "The past few days was not easy for me. Thank you all for your love and support. I will keep fighting as I always did."
The Tinder Swindler tells the story of the women - Cecilie Fjellhøy, Pernilla Sjoholm, and Ayleen Charlotte - who were conned by the pretend playboy.
After meeting the women on dating app Tinder, he span a web of lies which resulted in them each handing over hundreds of thousands of pounds to him.
It's revealed in the documentary - which has been created by the makers of Don't F*** With Cats - that Leviev was eventually caught with a fake passport in Greece in 2019.
He was extradited to Israel and sentenced to 15 months in prison for theft, fraud, and forgery of documents but got out after five months on good behaviour.
After people learned of this, they took to social media to vent their frustration at him not serving a longer sentence, and never being prosecuted for allegedly defrauding Ms Fjellhøy out of $200,000 (£147,000).
One disgruntled user wrote: "No justice for the victims of the Tinder Swindler? It should be a global effort to put him in prison. How terrible."
Another added: "I hope the women who got swindled by the Tinder Swindler get justice. The man is pure evil and it sucks he only got a slap on the wrist."
